Sen. Charles Schumer is pushing for the United States Department of Labor to approve a $50 million grant to develop programs that would help unemployed workers find employment.

AlterNet published a piece on New York’s green economies.

HealthNow NY employees have finally ratified an agreement after being locked out for 12 weeks.

In New York City and Long Island, five former Starbucks employees sued the company for allegedly coercing them into sharing tips. The courts ruled in Starbucks’ favor.

The NBA players’ union is encouraging the locked out athletes to play abroad while they’re still in negotiations in the States.
