Albany, NY – The New York State AFL-CIO supports the Finger Lakes Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Storage Project in Schuyler County. The project will create solid, middle-class jobs and help to improve the overall economy which goes to the very core of our “Making NY Work” initiative.

This project will not only create much needed construction jobs but will add several long-term sustainable jobs performed by the highly trained and skilled workforce in partnership with our brothers and sisters of the United Steel Workers.

In addition, the LPG Storage Project is expected to significantly increase tax revenue which will ultimately help support the critical public services we value.

We remain committed to supporting the development of industry oriented jobs, like the jobs to be created through the LPG Storage Project, to help working families and our economy as a whole.
