Amazon workers are rising, and the latest group to do so are Delivery Service Partners, or DSPs. Three DSPs in New York City, located in Queens, who are contracted out to deliver folks’ beloved Amazon packages, are demanding that Amazon recognize the union they have formed. Now, they have the backing of the mighty Teamsters Union. Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien said, “Hundreds of Amazon delivery drivers from Queens will now have the full backing of more than 1.3 million Teamsters nationwide.” He also made clear to Amazon that it has a legal obligation, as decided by the NLRB, to bargain with the drivers, and to negotiate with them over numerous issues.
