"The agreement that has been reached at the Central Park Boathouse represents a major victory for workers' rights in our city. I hope this sends a clear message to other owners, particularly those operating on city-owned property, that labor protections must be respected. I thank Dean Poll and the City for engaging in good faith negotiations with the New York Hotel Trades Council.
I also thank the HTC and all of the workers who have courageously stood against unfair labor practices and congratulate them on their incredible victory."
