30,000 Boeing machinists began a strike on Sept. 13 after turning down a tentative agreement, and now, although Boeing has made some concessions towards what the members want, it seems what the company is offering still does not meet workers’ demands. The workers’ union is the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 751. Now Boeing has said that this is its “best and final offer.” The union criticized the process of this offer, saying there had been no negotiation. According to a Bank of America analyst, the strike is costing Boeing $50 million a day.
