The Transport Workers Union of America just announced a tentative contract extension for over 34,000 workers, including American Airlines AMTs, Fleet Service Workers, Ground Mechanics and others. The tentative agreement, which awaits ratification by members, would last for two years, and it is one that Transport Workers Union International President John Samuelsen praised. “Our goal was to quickly negotiate a very beneficial benefit,” he said. Highlights of the agreement negotiated by the TWU-IAM Association include significant wage increases and no concessions or givebacks.
