Teamsters Local 25, located in Mass., have been fighting to protect workers from abusive practices that they face from employers like Uber and Lyft. At the same time, a new report by the UC Berkeley Labor Center is sharing the news that ride-share and platform delivery drivers in five major cities, including Boston, earn less than minimum wage after tips and expenses. Information in the report found that the median hourly pay for rideshare drivers in these multiple metro areas, is approximately $10.64/hr. That includes tips and expenses, and is well below the Mass. minimum wage of $15/hr.
