New York State Senator Jessica Ramos, has made quite a promise in her quest to seek the mayoral title. She wants to implement a program called “One Good Job,” which is the idea to provide employment for which “every New Yorker [between the] ages [of] 18 to 26 is either employed or enrolled in school, because no young person in New York City should be left out.” Senator Ramos also said, “We must build a city that works for all of us,” her words a challenge to the income inequalities that have plagued New York City for decades. Ramos’ program promises entail a wide range of help offered to everybody from union workers to those working on climate change to young people in civil service jobs, among other offerings.
