Union members at HarperCollins have been on strike since November 10, and have been working without a contract since April. At issue are stronger union protections, better family leave policies, and better pay. Now over 500 authors, including some from other publishers, have signed a letter of support. Famous names such as Barbara Kingsolver, Jacqueline Woodson, and Kwame Alexander are among the many signees.
