Baristas who have taken the bold step of unionizing at Starbucks in different parts of the country have paid a steep price. Naomi Martinez, Michelle Eisen, Tori Tambellini, and Nabretta Hardin are four of the baristas who have helped organize their fellow workers and made union votes happen. Eisen was able to keep her job at her Buffalo store, but Hardin and Tambellini were fired, and Martinez says an organizer at her Phoenix store was fired.
