New York, NY – President Obama has taken a bold and important step on behalf of millions of immigrant families, who can finally come out of the shadows without fear of deportation and being separated from their loved ones.
Unlike the Republicans in Congress, he has promised and delivered. We are confident that President Obama's action will help all working families by bringing workers out of the shadows, leveling the playing field and growing the tax base to contribute to a thriving economy. If Congress follows the President's lead and legislates a permanent fix to our broken immigration system, the economic gains for all Americans will be even greater and long-lasting.
There is still much to do and we will continue the fight for a fair and permanent solution.
