At a time when holiday festivities are filling thousands with joy, grief in its most difficult form was brought to a family who lost a cherished member. On Wednesday, Nov. 29, 57-year-old Hilarion Joseph was killed on the subway tracks at the 34th Street-Herald Square station. He was just about to celebrate his one-year anniversary working for the MTA as a track worker. TWU Local 100 said that he was part of a crew cleaning the tracks, and that he was flagging. An investigation is ongoing.
