Continuing the unchecked pattern of assaults on transit workers, an unnamed female MTA train conductor was attacked early Saturday morning, July 1. The attacker, who was dressed in clothing resembling that of a construction worker, aimed a hammer at her through the glass of her window, shattering the glass and causing injury to her face. The incident took place in the early morning hours in the once notorious Grand Concourse section of the Bronx. The assailant was caught clearly on video, but has yet to be apprehended.
