An associate of a mob-connected head of a construction firm, Joseph Guinta, has been sentenced to six months in jail for his part in a bid-rigging and bribery scheme. He also had to pay a restitution payment. Lawrence Wecker, the head of the firm, JM3 Construction, had workers and subcontractors working on government-subsidized affordable housing projects in the tri-state area. This shocking crime went on for years. He will be sentenced at the end of April.
