The Orwellian newspeak of the law still active in 26 states, termed “Right-to-Work”, has been upended by the insertion of the words “for-less”, by pro-Labor activists. Now, in a major win for Labor, that law that gave union workers the right to not pay dues and yet still receive all the benefits the union gives them has been repealed in Michigan. It took effect Feb. 13. Clearly the law was originally put in place with the intention of undermining unions by chipping away at their coffers. Ron Bieber, the President of Michigan AFL-CIO praised the change, saying that it will create stronger unions and a stronger economy.
