As the Station Agent title has been under serious threat from the OMNY system, Station VP Robert Kelley has negotiated an agreement. The pay rate for Station Agents will be raised by $1 an hour. They will also get new training to provide customer service outside booths. While being able to spend some of their shift inside the booths, their new role outside of them will include giving directions, helping the elderly and disabled, and helping riders with the OMNY equipment.
