New York, NY—Back in November New York’s Congressional delegation met with IBT Local 237’s President Greg Floyd and other labor leaders and called on then Comptroller-elect Scott Stringer to conduct an audit of the New York City Housing Authority’s finances. The comptroller has since initiated the audit and on Friday at Local 237’s offices, Floyd, joined by fellow labor leaders and Congressman Gregory Meeks, said they’re calling for the audit because they believe there’s a lot of waste and improper spending at the housing authority.
