On March 28, approximately 1,800 members of IBEW Local 3 took the bold step and launched a strike against telecommunications giant Charter/Spectrum after the multi-billion corporation refused to back off on attempts to gut the healthcare and pension plans of employees.
Since then, the union, backed by their brothers and sisters in the labor movement, as well as prominent elected officials including Governor Andrew Cuomo, have held numerous rallies around NYC in an effort to get Charter/Spectrum to bargain a fair contract.
