Super Storm Sandy devastated the homes and lives of many fire fighters. In the wake of this disaster, union members answered the call, making a donation to help fire fighters and their families through the IAFF Charitable Foundation.
The Foundation assisted hundreds of members in the storm region, but members will continue to need assistance. Efforts to replenish the Disaster Relief Fund are ongoing so it’s strong when the next disaster strikes.
The IAFF Charitable Foundation is an example of how IAFF and unions step up to help its members and communities across the country in their time of need.
