WGA members have officially ratified their agreement with the AMPTP. The union has called the new contract “exceptional”. The writers will resume their traditional work, starting 12:10 am Wed, Oct. 4. Pitching story ideas, selling scripts, taking meetings and more – all the familiar actions of their work in Hollywood will resume. Shows like SNL are starting up again. However, all will not be as usual until SAG-AFTRA members, who are still on strike – with the union having no plans to meet up with the AMPTP – also get a fair deal.
