Is a new era of electric car assembly coming to the Bronx? The New York City Industrial Development Agency has proposed subsidies for Smith Electric Vehicles.
Smith, a Missouri-based company, is considering a location in the Bronx to build a manufacturing and distribution facility for its zero-emission commercial electric vehicles.
Also this month, proposals are expected to be heard for Jetro Cash & Carry in Queens and Kingdom Castle Food Corp, a supermarket in Staten Island.
