Columbus, Nebraska – Employees of Frontier Communications (FTR) in Kearney and Columbus, Nebraska represented by the Communications Workers of America Local 7471 have ratified a contract .
The agreement was approved June 25, 2014. Frontier and union bargaining committees worked together to address issues that were priorities for both parties. This included intense competition in telecommunications industry as well as providing competitive wages and benefits to workers.
CWA Local 7471 represents sales and service technicians as well as retail sales specialists that work for the company. The ratified contract, which expires May 17, 2017, will help Frontier remain competitive and enhance customer service while continuing to provide solid wages and benefits to its Nebraska-based union employees.
With approximately 13,700 employees across 27 states, Frontier serves markets coast to coast, with customers in the rural heartland as well as metro areas. The. company has 100 percent of the workforce based in the United States. Frontier was named a 2014 `Top 100’ Military Friendly Employer.
