First Hundred Days as Attorney General
April 13, 2011
By Eric T. Schneiderman, NYS Attorney General
Sunday, April 10, 2011 marked our first 100 days in office, and what an incredible journey it's been. As you may have read recently, we've taken an active role in the 50 state mortgage settlement to hold big banks and other wrongdoers accountable, and we'll keep fighting questionable foreclosure practices on behalf of homeowners, and that's not all.
From cracking down on corruption in government, to rooting out fraud against taxpayers, to protecting consumers from financial crimes, and keeping our streets safe, each day our office is working hard to advance the goal of building the best public law firm in the country to protect all New Yorkers. It's an honor and privilege to serve as your Attorney General. We have a lot more work to do and I look forward to fighting for you in the next 100 days and beyond.
