The Senate acted to once again bend the arc of history toward justice. By a vote of 64-32, the Senate passed the Employee Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). This crucial legislation advances the American values of fairness and equality by banning workplace discrimination against LGBT Americans. Now, the House must follow suit.
Right now, Speaker Boehner is refusing to bring this legislation to the House floor. Unfortunately, this is just more of the same from a Republican leadership that spent $2.3 million of our tax dollars on a losing battle to deny equality to LGBT families in our courts.
