October 2, 2014
I would like to take this time out to congratulate you on the occasion of your 3rd Annual Heroes of Labor Awards of the LaborPress.
As a media outlet for unions and workers, LaborPress has kept our working class up-to-date through the thousands of articles provided online, in your E-News, videos and LaborPress Magazine. Your audience keeps growing and remains to have an extensive base of government officials and legislators, union officers, rank and file, newspaper reporters and other news organizations, as well as community and business leaders.
I wish to congratulate today’s honorees for their participation and exemplary work. These distinguished individuals and unions are proven leaders in their respective careers and are extraordinary. In addition, I would like to take a moment and pay tribute to the memory of Richard Sheehan—past President of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 802—for his accomplishments and service.
Finally, I commend and especially acknowledge you, Neal, on your hard work and commitment as president of LaborPress. Your leadership is paying off and has made LaborPress, New York’s
leading source for daily labor news and industry information across the country. As well, I want to express my profound appreciation to your Board and the entire membership for their
uncompromising dedication to our city.
Again, congratulations, and thank you for your contribution on behalf of the village of Harlem and of all New Yorkers!
Sincerely,
Inez E. Dickens New York City Council
