Staten Island, NY — The Communications Workers of America have announced their endorsement of Domenic M. Recchia, Jr. for Congress in New York’s 11th congressional district.
“It is an absolute honor to receive the endorsement of the Communications Workers of America. For over 70 years, the hard-working men and women of CWA have fought for middle-class families, and have been an unrelenting voice on vital issues for working people, including the fight to increase the minimum wage and the persistent battle to create American jobs and keep them here.”
“Domenic has a strong record of fighting for working families on issues that matter to us like increasing the minimum wage and job security,” said District 1 Vice President Chris Shelton. He added, “We support him because we know he will stand up for workers in Congress.”
“In today’s polarized political culture within the Congress, it’s more important than ever for workers to have a serious and fully supportive spokesperson” said Local 1102 Vice President Steve Lawton. He continued, “We endorse Domenic Recchia because we know Domenic will continue to stand up for workers by supporting union organizing rights, collective bargaining rights and fair trade policies.”
