For more than two decades after the tragedy of 9/11 that claimed so many lives, there are still survivors and heroes who are trying to treat their illnesses caused by the toxic dust at ground zero and beyond. But without full disclosure of exactly what the city knew about the toxins, it makes treating their sicknesses much more difficult, if not impossible. Shockingly, more than twice the number of those killed in the attacks have now passed away from these toxin-related illnesses. Council Member Gale Brewer has proposed a resolution that would compel the city’s DOI to go after the truth and share openly what should be public information.
