On Tuesday, Nov. 7, Brooklyn Museum workers ratified their first contract, only hours before a planned strike would have taken effect. The staff’s union is Local 2110, UAW. The organized staff is roughly 140 workers. Gains include a 23% raise over the 3.5 years of the contract, minimum pay rates, starting at $57,630 for full-time staff and $22/hr for front-of-house workers, and ratification bonuses are $3k for full-timers, and $500 for part-time staff, among other wins.
