Dozens of Senators have joined together to introduce two bills to make the tax code fairer for workers and to put the brakes on multi-million dollar tax deductions by corporations for their union-busting activities. The Tax Fairness for Workers Act would let workers deduct employment expenses such as travel and uniform costs, as well as business expenses. They could also deduct union dues. The No Tax Breaks for Union Busting Act would prevent companies from deducting union-busting expenses from their taxes.
