Many employees are contacted outside of working hours with requests or orders relating to their job duties. This can easily lead to burnout and unfair, unregulated demands. Now, California State Assemblyman Matt Haney has introduced a bill, AB 2751, that would require all employers to state exactly what the employee’s hours are. They would also have to ensure that the workers are not required to respond to any work-related communications outside of those hours.
