Brooklyn, NY—After crushing fellow paisano, Joseph Lhota, in the polls, Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio gave a special thank you to family and friends in Italy where his grandparents hailed from. He then reiterated his main campaign positions during his victory speech such as slightly raising taxes on the wealthy to fund universal pre-Kindergarten schooling. Labor leaders were delighted by the electoral outcome. Watch Video
