An AFL-CIO blog has linked the end of Roe v. Wade with the struggles of working people. Instead of a 50th anniversary celebration of the historic ruling, SCOTUS’ recent ruling overturning Roe v. Wade has been a crushing blow to the “fundamental freedom” of a safe, legal abortion. Existing inequalities have only deepened, as the U.S. has no guaranteed paid family or sick leave. Workers need to mobilize to control their own destinies.
