New York NY – The Council of School Supervisors and Administrators (CSA) has unanimously endorsed Yetta Kurland for City Council in District 3.
CSA joins DC 37-Local 372, the 25,000 Board of Education Employees Union, in endorsing former educator and school leader, Yetta Kurland for City Council.
“Yetta is the kind of fighter and activist that schools need. CSA is impressed with her integrity and willingness to push for the kind of public policy that benefits NYC’s public school students. She has a strong track record of public service and a history of active community engagement. Yetta has proven herself a true advocate for public education and we’re happy to throw our support behind her”, said Ernest Logan – President of Council of School Supervisors and Administrators.
“As an educator, I am especially honored to receive the endorsement of the CSA”, said Yetta Kurland. “Public education is crucial to the future of our city and I am proud to stand with an organization that represents more than 12,000 current and retired public school supervisors and administrators whose job it is to make our public schools run."
Yetta has already received labor endorsements from Metallic Lathers Union & Reinforcing Iron Workers Local 46, Transport Workers Union Local 100, Amalgamated Transit Union International, CWA Local 1180, District Council 37, the NYS Machinists District 15, IATSE Local One Theatrical Stage Employees, New York City Clerical-Administrative Employees Local 1549 (DC 37 AFSCME), New York Metro Area Postal Union, and APWU.
