AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler has released a statement regarding the nomination of Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer for Labor Secretary. Although Shuler spoke of Chaven-DeRemer’s pro-labor record, Shuler made the point that Donald Trump will be leading the land, and ultimately will have control over what she is permitted to do for labor. The Trump administration is notoriously anti-worker, says Shuler. Not only that, but Project 2025 looms large in the horizon as Trump has put forth many cabinet nominees with strong ties to it. In that document are many shocking anti-worker laws.
