The International Brotherhood of Teamsters is filing unfair labor practice against Amazon after an Amazon employee was verbally assaulted, and was the victim of homophobic slurs in Queens, NY. The incident occurred on the morning of Nov. 26, when Emmanuel T., the victim, was simply trying to do his job. He arrived for work, and that was when the incident began. It was a corporate union buster, Juan Carlos Cervantes of Government Resources Consultants of America, who was responsible. As well as his previous behavior, he threatened Emmanuel with physical violence. Shockingly, the same day, Amazon suspended the victim of the attack “pending an investigation.” The Teamsters have also filed formal complaints with the Equal Opportunity Commission.r
