Despite his campaign pitch for the votes those in unions, Trump is gunning for workers, particularly the federal workforce, which, on the advice of friends and so-called co-chiefs of various groups, such as Elon Musk, wants to eat away at the workforce, in huge numbers, by cutting either 75 percent, or $2 trillion from federal spending. Randy Erwin talked with The Washington Post; he is the president of the National Federation of Federal Employees, which is the oldest federal union. One of the powerful statements he makes about what he believes the coming Trump changes will look like is when he says, “Instead of having these agency leaders that are the best and brightest and hired for their capability for leading these departments, they’re going to be replaced with political stooges that are running roughshod over everyone who works in those agencies. That means they’re going to be scared and intimidated.” He also stated that Trump’s “Department of Government Efficiency” another agency not sanctioned by Congress, is “sketchy as hell” and that it will not comply with transparency and accountability.”
