In an Amazon warehouse in San Francisco, over 100 workers have formed a union with the powerful Teamsters. They have demanded recognition from Amazon, and are the first group of Amazon warehouse workers to do so outside of the NLRB election process. One of the workers, Dori Goldberg, who works at the DCK6 warehouse in question, said, “We’re sending a clear message to Amazon that we will not back down.” The workers are demanding better pay and benefits, including those that would make it possible to support their families. This follows the momentum of scores of other Amazon workers across the country who are organizing for new policies that would give them what they deserve.
