Over 24 Starbucks workers in New York City say their employer is in violation of the City’s Fair Workweek Law. The law addresses scheduling and directs fast-food operators to give their employees their work schedules at least two weeks in advance. The workers, aided by Starbucks Workers United, filed complaints on Feb. 12 with the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs. Workers United also worked with 32BJ-SEIU. A 32BJ spokesperson said 27 baristas at 23 Starbucks across four boroughs had voiced their complaints.
