A third-party firm will be brought in by Apple to review its labor practices after accusations of union-busting by regulators and employees. The company filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission promising the assessment. It said it would assess its “efforts to comply with its Human Rights Policy as it relates to workers’ freedom of association and collective bargaining rights in the United States by the end of calendar year 2023.” Workers have charged that Apple has clamped down on their attempts to organize.
