Nearly 4,000 nurses who are members of the New York State Nurses Association reached a tentative agreement on a fair contract with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital on Dec. 31. The agreement came hours before their contract expired and one day after delivering a 10-day notice to strike to the hospital management. Negotiations continue at seven other hospitals. Approximately 12,000 NYSNY nurses delivered 10-day notices to strike. Without contracts, strikes will begin on Jan. 9, 2023.
