Update on Voter Information
November 6, 2012
By NYC Public Advocate Bill de Blasio
Governor Cuomo has issued an Executive Order to let voters displaced by Hurricane Sandy cast ballots at any poll site throughout the state.
This news is critical for those displaced by Hurricane Sandy. New Yorkers who are unable to reach their assigned polling location can vote through an “affidavit ballot” at their nearest polling site.
To find your nearest polling site, enter an address near you to the Board of Elections website.
For a simple way to find a nearby polling site, text “NYCVOTES” to 877-877. The service will ask for your address and will respond with your poll site location.
