New York, NY – As Comptroller Scott Stringer continues to increase the number of unions supporting his candidacy for mayor, the Organization of Staff Analysts (OSA) has now added to Stringer’s growing list of endorsements.

OSA, a union that represents City employees in Analyst and related titles across 50 municipal agencies, praised Stringer’s record of fighting for City workers and protecting their retirements and said the Comptroller is the best candidate to deliver an equitable economic recovery in New York City.

“The working people of this city deserve a mayor who has a record of standing up for workers, protecting their dignity, and securing their futures,” said OSA Chairman Robert J. Croghan. That’s what Scott Stringer has done throughout his career. “As Comptroller, Scott modernized the pension funds, strengthened efficiencies, and boosted the retirement security of City workers. Scott knows that working people keep this City moving and that there is no economic recovery without them. OSA is thrilled to support Scott Stringer for mayor of New York and we’re ready to do all that we can to send Scott to City Hall.”

“OSA fights for its members and organizes with the best of them,” said Comptroller Scott Stringer. “I’m incredibly honored to have their support and to fight with them for workers to have a seat at the table. If we’re going to take inequality in New York City, it starts with valuing the workers who help keep it moving. They deserve a fair shake and decent wages. I can’t wait to fight with them for an equitable economy that will bring sustainable, broad-based growth,” concluded Stringer. Unions that have endorsed Scott Stringer for Mayor include: Communication Workers of America District 1 (CWA), Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU), United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1500 (UFCW), and LIUNA-NY.
