New York, NY – The Office and Professional Employees International Union [OPEIU] is now fully affiliated with the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society [NJPMS]. The Jersey group becomes part of OPEIU's First National Guild of Healthcare Providers of the Lower Extremity, Guild 45, after completing a one-year trial affiliation with OPEIU.
"OPEIU Guild 45 is extremely pleased to welcome the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society," said OPEIU Guild 45 President John Mattiacci, DPM. "This affiliation makes us stronger and better able to meet the specific challenges facing today's podiatrists. We look forward to working together to improve standards of practice for doctors of podiatry."
The fresh affiliation brings 650 podiatrists into OPEIU Guild 45, which represents more than 4,600 podiatrists in several states. NJPMS is a state component of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). OPEIU Guild 45 advocates for doctors and patients of podiatric medicine.
"We are proud and honored to be members of OPEIU Guild 45 and look forward to working together for the betterment of our patients," said NJPMS President Jeffrey Katz, DPM.
