5,000 Teamsters across the nation have voted by an overwhelming 99% to authorize a strike at Anheuser-Busch. That empowers the Teamsters National Negotiating Committee to call a strike if the beer giant does not come through with an acceptable deal. The Teamsters want improved wages, job protection, secured health care and retirement benefits for the workers at the 12 breweries owned by the alcoholic beverage corporation. The current contract expires in just over two months, on Feb. 29, 2024.
