Maybe the majority of folks just want happy writers who’ll keep our shows on the air and continue producing great product. Whatever the reason, the results of a national poll conducted between May 12 and May 15 showed that 71% of Americans, including a surprising 63% of Trump voters, support the ongoing strike by members of the Writers Guild of America. The poll was commissioned by More Perfect Union via Blue Rose Research. Nearly 20,000 writers have been on strike since May 2, over issues including residuals from streaming and a ban on using AI to write scripts.
