SEIU 32BJ has endorsed Jessica Lappin for Manhattan Borough President
At the endorsement press conference on April 16, 2013 – 32BJ President Hector Figueroa said that “As our city continues to grow and develop, the next Borough President needs to be someone who understands the needs of the working people in the borough and has a proven commitment to fighting for them. Jessica has the experience and has proven her commitment.”
32BJ is the largest property service workers union in the country with over 120,000 members. They’re a powerful force in the labor movement in New York and play a big role in many progressive battles here, including immigration reform and the recent victory that will bring paid sick leave to NYC workers.
When receiving the endorsement Jessica stated that "I’m thrilled to have their endorsement and excited to have them join our growing list of supporters."
