ALBANY, N.Y. — The Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters (NRCC) has endorsement Erie County Legislator Patrick Burke for New York State Assembly District 142 seat. Burke, a Democrat, is facing Republican challenger Erik Bohen in the April 24th special election.
“I am proud to receive the endorsement of the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters,” said Burke. “If elected to the New York State Assembly’s 142nd District, I will continue to promote policies that help ensure the working people in our community can earn a fair wage. I promise to stand with workers at a time when it has become clear that an all-out assault against unions is not going away anytime soon. I believe that together we can fight for what matters.”
The Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters only endorse candidates that support Davis-Bacon protections, encourage the use of Project Labor Agreements, fight 1099 Worker Misclassification and support fair w3ages and benefits for working people.
“We are pleased to endorse Erie County Legislator Patrick Burke’s election bid in the 142nd District and will fully support his campaign through get out the vote efforts,” said Bill Banfield, NRCC’s New York State Regional Manager. “Patrick Burke has worked closely with the Carpenters Union in the past.”
