New York, NY – Each year, the National Labor Management Conference (NLMC) is held at a venue where participants come together to problem-solve and network. It is the premier event in this regard for the labor and management community.

As Barbara McCabe, manager and director of the NLMC, told LaborPress, “The conference focuses on Taft-Hartley funds and provides insights and updates into trends and practices affecting these funds.”

The theme of the 47th annual six-day conference is “2024 and Opportunities to Taft-Hartley funds.”

Topics Include:

Pension Fund Infrastructure Investment

Labor Opportunities in a New Administration

Cost Saving Strategies for Health Plans

Prescription Cost Containment

The Future of Work

The Conference will be held at the Diplomat Resort and Spa, February 15-20, 2024. The hotel is located on the beach in Hollywood, Florida, between Fort Lauderdale to the north and Miami Beach to the south.

There are some powerful and influential people who will be on hand to offer their thoughts on relevant issues. Says McCabe: “Speakers will include International Presidents, governmental agencies and thought leaders shaping new practices. This year’s program features TWU International President John Samuelsen, Teamsters President Sean O’Brien, NABTU President Sean McGarvey, former LIUNA President Terry O’Sullivan, Congressman Tom Suozzi and many others,” she added.

More than 600 attendees are expected including Trustees and Directors of Multi-Employer Health, Welfare and Pension Funds, Fund Administrators, Union Leadership, Labor Lawyers, Fund Counsel/Advisors, Labor Lawyers and Fund Counsel and Advisors.

“There will be frank conversations with national leaders, leading experts and your peers,” McCabe told LaborPress. “[They will be] tackling today’s biggest threats, challenges and surprising opportunities. Taft Hartley fund managers meet here!
