Williamsville, NY – Organized Labor here in Western New York gathered together Tuesday (October 11th) to send a clear and loud message to Republican Congressman Chris Collins: Withdraw your endorsement of GOP Presidential Candidate Donald Trump.

Despite 26% or 87 GOP Congressional Members and governors across the U.S. refusing to endorse Trump, according to a USA TODAY survey taken this week, Collins – the first Congressman to publicly come out and endorse Trump in his campaign for the presidency, is standing firm in his support of Trump, who has come under intense fire after a videotape was released of him describing – in graphic terms – his advocating sexual assault of women, his failed attempts to have intercourse with a married woman and the grabbing of a woman’s genitals, all  because “he is a star.”  “They’ll let you do anything,” Trump said on the tape.

“You can ‘judge a person’ with the ‘company he keeps,’” Western New York AFL-CIO Area Labor Federation (WNYALF) President Richard Lipsitz (Pictured Below/ Photos) told about 50 Labor Representatives at a rally that was held outside Collins’ District Office on Wehrle Drive in the Suburban Williamsville.  “If (Collins) has a ‘shred of decency,’ he will ‘withdraw his endorsement’ of Donald Trump.”

Collins, who went on CNN this week to once again strongly defend Trump (pictured below), is no stranger to criticism himself for making alleged raunchy and sexist comments to women.  In 2010, then Erie County Executive Collins was accused of telling a woman who was attending the New York State of the State Address – according to an Assemblyman who heard the comment – that if she wanted a seat “you have to give me a lap dance.” (For more, read this news story headlined: Chris Collins Lies Like The Donald at and for more, go to:

At Tuesday’s rally, which was attended by a number of area Unions – including the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA), the Communications Workers of America (CWA), the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT), the Office & Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), the Teamsters and the United Auto Workers (UAW), Lipsitz rattled off what the Labor Movement and Americans do not like about Donald Trump: “His hatred and bigotry, his racist behavior, his association with the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), his ‘failure to recognize’ climate change, his ‘penchant’ for using nuclear weaponry, voter suppression, how he has ‘screwed’ Union contractors in New York City and paid Workers sixty cents on the dollar, using Immigrant Labor on his projects, the fact that he has twenty-four pending Labor charges filed against him, and his support of  Right-To-Work (for less).”  To read more click on the following link
