Concord, NH – Anti-union legislation has failed to pass in New Hampshire’s state Assembly. The bill would have prevented workers from deciding to put a requirement to pay union dues in their labor contracts.

New Hampshire Professional Fire Fighters President Bill McQuillen told WMUR-TV Thursday it’s a win for New Hampshire families.

[Bill McQuillen]: “We’re feelin’ very good about what happened today. And I think this is a victory for all in the middle class in this state today.”

New Hampshire AFL-CIO President Glenn Brackett.

[Glenn Brackett]: “I consider it a victory for working families in New Hampshire.”
